I wanted to stay local to have the rear window in my van replaced, so I went to Google. A number of businesses came up, only one local and one national, the other 4 were in near by towns. For a second,I was tempted to try
the national concern first. I knew of them, in fact, they replaced my cracked windshield last year. Insurance covered it. Then , I remembered that I originally wanted to stay local. So I called the glass business in Port Townsend. The guy asked me a few questions, like, how hard was it to see out of the window..you almost couldn’t. He said that I should swing by and let him look at it.If it was a tinted window,
it might cost several hundred dollars. I was expecting that. But, if it was a film, he could take it off and maybe it would be $25 or so dollars. I was not expecting that. Good news is that it is film and
he can take it off in a half hour or so. I really feel that if I had gone to the national company , they would have just taken me at my word that I needed a new rear window and they would have replaced
it. At my expense, this time. That is what dealing with neighbors is really all about. I will sure spread that word to shop local, especially if you
need a new rear window for your 2005 Honda Odyssey.
