I know this is nuts, but the one thing I really miss is not having a garbage disposal. I create a lot of disposable
garbage,but I have to put it in a plastic bag and throw it in my little garbage can and then , every other week, carry it to the poppa garbage can .
They do an every other week garbage pick up here. One week is garden and recyclable stuff, the other week garbage only.Just throwing away the NTY , 7 day a week delivery, is a monumental amount of paper. After my walk with Dixie, a cup of coffee and the paper
is what I do. Some things are set in stone and this is one of them. I now have to walk to the mailbox, which is on the corner, about 3/4 ths of block away. I pick it up on my way back from walking Dixie. At this point , I am holding a leash, a poop bag( filled), a newspaper and some times mail. And often, packages from Amazon. I try to scan the front page as I am walking home. It isn’t that easy because I don’t
wear my glasses with my face mask. The glasses get too foggy and I found that it’s just easier to leave them home. Actually, I don’t need the glasses except for reading, but
I usually wear them all of the time. It’s easier than trying to remember where I might have left them.
