ON THE BACK BURNER

My bedroom project is coming along. I needed help with the wide strip of wall paper. I couldn’t hold it straight, smooth it out and keep it level with just my two hands.I really wanted to do everything by myself, but I’m getting smarter and asked for an extra set of hands.  I was able to get those three Camilla plants in the ground.  By summer, they will have grown into nice size bushes. I got another tank of propane. It is cheaper than electricity, I am told. My fridge is electric, but it can be switched over to propane, if I traveled, I guess. i suppose my heat and AC are the same. I turn the heat on for one blast in the morning and that seems to be all that I need.I have a small electric heater that is very efficient and adequate . I keep it on all day, fluctuating between low and medium heat. It gets quite warm, especially when I am baking. My one and only door gets a lot of use. A grandkid or son or DiL stop by and since we are practicing our form of Covid protection, rarely does anyone come in. They stand on the deck and I am in the doorway, all of us with masks. Dixie goes in and  out ,  mostly at will. She is still very anxious  about where I am when she is out. I have to reassure her. That and the fact that she has a visual impairment, makes my voice give her her bearings. When she got up this  morning, she was facing what to her, was the wrong way. I caught her just before she was going to take a leap..into a wall. Noodle , for some reason, maybe because he was blind longer, didn’t have a problem with walking into things and knowing his limitations. Dixie hasn’t figured all of this out yet. Guess that is what I am here for.
