ON THE BACK BURNER

The temperature isn’t so bad. The wind is a little cold sometimes, but nothing bone chilling. Yet. I understand that when the breeze comes from the south,it gets quite balmy. I can handle that. Except for trying to eat outdoors in the rain, the rain isn’t even that bad. There  aren’t the icy winds that we had in Chicago. So far. Dixie is comfortable in a sweater . She hates the rain. I see her even walking around a puddle. I am not quite sure how she sees them coming, since her vision  is getting worse. She just knows. And speaking of Dixie, she has taken a dislike to my iPad. I was on it for so many hours during the election and the three days afterwards, that she has become like a child demanding attention. She paws the screen and tries to push it off of my lap. At first it was amusing, but now, I think I can see a bad habit forming. I’m going to have to have a talk with her about what is not acceptable. I hate being tough with her.
