ON THE BACK BURNER

There is nothing that I can do about today, except hope for a good outcome so that I can go about my business. At the moment, my business is to finish painting my bedroom. I have finally decided on a color and a process. I have always liked wall paper and I’ve hung a lot of it. It started when we bought our Victorian house in Evanston. I think a neighbor talked me into it,  but I hung red burlap fabric in our sons room. Since the curtains that I made , at the last time I drove by the house, are still hanging, maybe the room is still covered in red burlap. Then I wallpapered our remodeled kitchen. Maybe  it was over kill,  but I liked the jungle scene. Now that I think back to it, it was a lot of jungle. When we moved to our high rise, I papered the foyer. The building was rental at that time and I had to remove the paper when we moved. The next major hanging that I did was to take record album covers and paste them in the guest bathroom. That was probably a mistake ,only because I should have kept the albums .Janis Joplin, The Beetles,Peter ,Paul and Mary, The Weavers, all of those good guys. Big mistake. The covers were works of art. Maybe they are still in that bathroom. I haven’t papered anything in Venice. Maybe the climate doesn’t lend itself to wallpaper. But I found a paper that I like on Amazon. I only have a small area to hang ,so it shouldn’t be much of a challenge. I will only paper the wall behind the bed and finish up with paint . In my head, it sounds good. I’ll see if I change my mind before I actually order the paper. Well, that took my mind off of what is going on outside of my comfort zone. What else can I think about to distract me.
