ON THE BACK BURNER

I’ve put aside rocks for wood chips. The tremendous load of fire wood that my son had dumped in the yard, is finally racked. It wasn’t a priority project, so every now and then a nephew, ( my grandsons), or a brother ( my DiL ‘s)would spend an hour or so, stacking wood. Finally, all of the wood is where it belongs, with a tarp over it to protect it from the rains that are common here in the North west. Now it is my turn. I appointed myself the official tidy upper. I’m running out of rocks to move so I put my energy into racking up all those little pieces of splintered fire wood and bark. I gotta say, the yard, with stacks of fire wood in place, looks very cozy and efficient. Actually, I am waiting for the election to be over, so I am keeping myself busy. I made bagels today and finished up priming my bedroom. I keep changing my mind about what the finished color should be. My son  made an executive decision  by saying paint it bold and then repaint if you don’t like it. How sensible. The bagel recipe I got on YouTube. They taste really good. The recipe only makes 8, so by the time that I give each grandson two, my son , two, that leaves only two for me. Because I needed to test one, just to make sure that it was good, I only have one for tomorrow. Making another batch sounds like a good way to keep busy until results start coming in. Fingers crossed. By the way, Dixie and I have on our pearls.
