ON THE BACK BURNER

Those growler planes  are doing maneuvers again. They drive me crazy. My son and DiL say that they don’t even notice them. That reminded me of a visit we had from a brother in law after we moved into our home in Evanston. We were about 5 blocks from the El. He said that the trains kept him up all night. Which wasn’t true because their schedule slowed down after midnight, but the point is that we never heard them. These growlers are so in my head that  I was wondering if I could buy a thunder shirt like I have for Dixie. It is something like a swaddling cloth that you use on infants to make them calmer and help them feel secure. I have no idea why I react to these planes. Dixie doesn’t react. She doesn’t even open her eyes, if she is sleeping. To  me, they seem to go around and around and when you think that they are gone, the noise starts up again.I did see one poster with a picture of a weird plane in black and a red slash through it. From the picture, I still couldn’t get an idea of what the plane looked like. I’ve stood in front of the poster,  but I still can’t figure it out. Maybe it is a test of my imagination.I am only imagining that I hear them.
