I was scrolling while I waited to throw in another load of clothes. I found Anderson Cooper on CNN doing an interview with Maria Shriver, It was worth my time. It was not political. At all. Maria explained how she focused
herself during this pandemic and about being present. She has her own rituals about meditating and praying before she starts her day. No checking the news or emails. She said that she watches much less news now. I was particularly taken with Maria saying that
we all should be able to have a day. Not a good day, but a day. Maybe when asked “ how was your day”, you don’t automatically say, good. You can feel OK about saying that it wasn’t a particularly good day. It was your day.She also talked
about raising boy children and how important it is to let them know that being a good father, a good husband,a good son, a good son in law,a good friend is more important than the check they bring home, or the profession they choose.Maybe because this segment
wasn’t political, I found it refreshing and worth a spin load of clothes.
