Actually,43 degrees doesn’t feel that cold when the sun is shinning. I had my doubts about our Saturday family breakfast, since it rained for 20 hours the day before, but the sun was out today and there was no wind.
It was good about no wind because on the rainy Friday, a gust of wind almost blew my sun canopy off its mountings. When we went to look at the damage, it was a mess. All of the accumulated wet leaves ,plus the dried up portions of the canopy, showed a cracked
,nasty looking ,in need of replacement canopy. That will be a winter project for my son.The seven of us sat around the fire pit ,reasonably comfortable, eating blintz soufflé, while Dixie sat in the doorway of the trailer, wearing her fleece leopard
print dog sweater. She looked like she disapproved of us eating outdoors. Her choice.
