Once I saw those cranberries at the grocery, I made my decision .I will stay here until Thanksgiving and then I will return to Florida. My sense of calendar time is gone. I was shocked when I saw cranberries. I wondered where
they came from. another country. What? it is October? What happened to summer? Should I put a missing summer on the list of things that I haven’t had since January . That would include: going to a restaurant. Going to a movie. The library. Visiting my
friends at their homes. Having people over for dinner. Postponing a dentist visit. Cutting my own hair. Short. short. No more coloring. No Services at my congregation. But Wait, there is more, as the saying goes. But now that I processed cranberries, I remembered
that last year , I came here to Port Townsend to have Thanksgiving with my son and two grandsons. And it was great. And where would I rather be. Here ,of course. So, Dixie and I will celebrate Thanksgiving here and then we will fly back to Florida. Bring on
the cranberries.
