Before we bought our house in Evanston, we rented an apartment just a block from the Northwestern campus. I was reminded of that last night when I saw this beautiful moon.
That moon represented home coming for the kids at school. College football was important to the school and to Evanston. All those deep pocket out of town parents staying at local hotels and eating at local
restaurants was much appreciated. But to our family, it was the floats. The college clubs, sororities, fraternities, and teams , all had decorated floats. I don’t remember their throwing goodies at us like they do at Mardi Gras, but it was real excitement
for our young kids.Funny, that I hadn’t thought about those home coming parades in years. Must be the moonbeams.
