When I was working,I would drive south on Lake Shore Drive and reach a S curve , now facing east, at exactly the same time that the sunrise was blinding drivers. There was always that moment when I
couldn’t see. This morning, here in Port Townsend there was that exact moment. I was walking Dixie a little earlier than I have been. The sun was blood orange red and with the haze from the fires,it was magnificent. I could see the sun reflected in the
bay , so that I saw two suns. I had my phone with me , expecting my daily morning call from my Israeli daughter, so I quick took a picture. I couldn’t get the it right. I took another. There was no way, with my cell phone that I could capture what I
was seeing in real time. I will just let it burn in my memory.
