Last night is what made me realize just how lucky I am. My DiL brought me a cucumber from her garden. A few minutes later, my son knocked on my door asking if I had some
caraway seeds for the sauerkraut that he was making. It’s been years since I lived close enough to a kid to have them just knock on my door and randomly bring me something or ask to borrow something. And I did have caraway seeds. Which is another reason that I am so lucky. Last week, my grandson stopped at my door saying that he was going to
the food co op and did I need anything. I was fixing a recipe that called for caraway seeds. He picked them up for me on his shopping trip. And just to make this even sweeter,in a few weeks, I’ll
have a jar of home made sauerkraut to eat. Life is good.
