Paint day. My son paid me the highest compliment,”looks good”. I thought about standing on a ladder to do the part that my DiL does, but after climbing the first rung of a 6 foot ladder, I thought better of it. Before I left for Port Townsend, I painted my bedroom in Venice. There I only have a two step kitchen ladder. It worked just fine. There must be something intimidating about a 6 foot ladder, but I couldn’t
step beyond the first step. Since we have established that my son is a collector and not a hoarder, I asked if he had an extension for the roller. Of course he did and better yet, he knew where it was. This worked perfectly. I could stand on the deck or on
the ground and reach where I had to.Job well done. Now I only have to do a short side and I am finished ..until my DiL and son trace the flowers on the trailer. Then I am back to work. Can’t wait for a finish product. That’s when I will take a picture
of it.
