ON THE BACK BURNER

I had planned to tell about PortTownsend  today. However, my day became a little surreal . I decided to hang a piece of art some where other than where it was perfectly happy.I don’t  have that many options for places to hang it in a trailer. This piece was not a canvas painting ,but a horizontal tile piece that resembles a Klee painting. I was holding it above my head to place it, when , naturally it slipped and fell against my eye. But I caught it. So, what do you do for a black eye.? The Klee look alike looks good in its new place. Later in the morning, my Grandson came to the  door and said that I had company. That sure surprised me. Thank heavens I had decided to wear a bra today. It was a woman, about my age, never saw her before in my life, even when she took off her face mask, to identify herself. She had been on a grand tour, a few years ago,  with a long time friend of mine and that friend told her to look me up. She lives four blocks from me. I have a new friend. I am so happy about that. Then while basking in having someone my age to take a walk with, I was walking Dixie and I was stung by a hornet. I learned that it wasn’t a bee because there was no stinger. Ouch and ouch again. this was a lot going on in one day for me. I haven’t had this much excitement in I can’t even remember. All good. Except the black  eye and the bite that still hurts.Aug. 18
