ON THE BACK BURNER

I missed my favorite Zoom group because I wasn’t even thinking about what day of the week it was. Every day is a day without a name. I know Friday because I look forward to cooking and celebrating Shabbat with our family group. Other than that, the days name has no meaning. I do have a calendar on my iPad, but stopped looking at that months ago. One of my excuses for missing my Zoom is that I am 3 hours earlier than most of the scheduled programs. I’m up , but I have things to do, like walk and feed Dixie, talk to my daughter in Israel, fix my sons lunch ,drink a cup of coffee before it gets cold, and maybe, read the front section of the NYT. When my son was called back to work, I said that I would fix his lunch because no restaurants were serving.. And I really like doing this. He has to stop by every morning to get his lunch and that is a highlight for  me. Anyway, I threatened that I would carry his lunch to school, I mean work, if he forgot it. He laughed. But he wasn’t quite sure.
