ON THE BACK BURNER

Dang. My plants didn’t come in this delivery. Next week. That meant that I had to go to my next project. I am determined to have grass planted and growing before I go back to Venice. I am still attacking that rye grass. Now that it is dry, it looks like straw. I have a a few steps that I go through to get rid of the roots. First I rake to get it to stand upright. Then I  take clippers and cut it down..It is too high for the mower. Next I  rake again and make straw piles that my daughter in law takes away for me.  I mow again to chop up what is left and then, rake again. Today,I finally felt that the time was right for grass seed and compost. I watered, took a shower, and went to bed.
