ON THE BACK BURNER

Day 2 of the Ella Faye project. Since I can’t keep a social  distance from her, I put a face mask on what I think is her nose. She is cool with it. I worked more on the hill. I thought that I was finished, but I bought some ground cover and forgot to mention, shade. So I needed to expand the hill to include some sun. Then I cut down the tall rye grass. I will replace it with plumey grass. In the meantime, my daughter in laws cutting flower garden is blooming like crazy. Last year she had three weddings that as her gift, were her beautiful flowers. This year ,no weddings, so I expect my pod to be filled with fresh flowers.  Dixie is  free to roam around the yard,  but every now and then, I call her name just to see where she is. She is very interested in the compost pile.I am a little suspicious about what is in there. She is a snarfer  and she wasn’t feeling so good for a couple of hours. I’m thinking that she ate something that she shouldn’t have. I understand that the temperatures this summer are 20 degrees cooler than last year.It hasn’t gone above 61 since I got here, with the exception of 2 days. Tease.
