ON THE BACK BURNER

When the sun is out, I feel rejuvenated. The sun is out. I had my turn for the car, so I did a few quick errands. I mad another loaf of white bread. No artisan, no sour dough, no whole wheat, just an old fashioned white bread.  And it is good! I also mowed. I love physical work and mowing this grass comes under that category. I know that it is hard for some purest to understand, but a lot of this back yard is wild. Tall grasses, red clover. What better way to see birds darting in and out of the sheafs of grass. This must be the year of the humming birds and robins. I even found a shell of a robin’s egg on my deck. I just hope that no crow or hawk helped himself to the nest . In a few weeks, I will have cut down all of the tall grasses. But for now, I have mowed a few trails through the grass. One to the main house, one to my pod and one connecting to the studio, where my Grandson  is working. I feel a little guilty for his moving his office from my trailer to the studio. He just moved from here to there. No problem ,he says. Today is the first day that I opened all of the windows in the trailer. Must be true that summer is here.
