Well, today was like any day in Venice. Only, I am in Washington State.. Dixie and I got up early, as usual. However, early comes really early here. We are not quite used
to the three hour time change. We are better this day, than the first night and morning. Dixie had to be physically brought outside for her first walk of the day. She will have to get use to the rainy weather.It’s not cold, nor humid. Just wet. I ordered
her a rain doggy coat from Amazon. She should have it tomorrow. Once she got her feet wet, she was OK with the rain. What I miss the most right now, is what I missed in Venice. The library. Here the library is a Carnegie library, with a newer , modern addition.
This library just has good vibes. I knew it was special when last year, they had Jamie Attenberg’s book on display . And they didn’t even know that I knew her parents.Typically of summer rains, later the sun came out and Dixie and I practiced walking
downhill and then back again. My goal for her, after my quarantine is to make it all the way down the hill to a trail that leads to the sound...... and then back again. I think she will be ready in 12 days.
