ON THE BACK BURNER

we made it from Tampa to Seattle to Port Townsend. Some of it wasn’t pretty, but that is old news. We are happy to be here. Our flight was 6 hours. Dixie Cup slept 20 minutes of each hour. dixie cried twenty minutes of each hour. I petted Dixie through her crate twenty minutes of each hour. The flight attendant refused to let me take her out of her travel case. If she had, Dixie would have slept for 6 hours. Once we landed, I took her out of her case and she just wagged her tail and was perky, as if nothing had happened. . On the ride to Port Townsend , she was great. Looked out of the window, relaxed. Now that I am at my pod, she is right on her normal routine. It is great to be here. The trailer looks perfect. They bought me so much food, that I won’t have to shop for a few weeks, and maybe not even then. what is strange is that we are all practicing social distancing. Not giving everyone a great big hug is something I will have to get used to.We pantomime  , the message gets understood.  My daughter in law strewed my walk way with red flowers. That was so cool and welcoming. In the pod are magnificent  peonies. I have  always loved peonies. Everything is green and growing. Even the tree we planted for Bob, hqs some baby apples on it.That’s nice.
