ON THE BACK BURNER

They couldn’t wait.and, actually, i don’t blame them. My development was filled with out of state license plates until today. The snow birds stayed around, because they were here and they couldn’t go there. There being their summer homes,or their permanent residence , where they vote .I noticed this when I was walking Dixie. I saw trunks opened with suitcases and duffel bags  and a couple of packages of toilet paper stuffed in. Later I noticed a lot of empty car stalls. They left and no one told me good bye. I’m a lot jealous. I really want to be in Port Townsend. But not yet. My turn will come. And Dixie will come along. I am wondering how she feels about being in a carrier for 6 hours , then on a 2 hour van ride. There are always drugs. For me.
