I am so disappointed. We heard that at 5:30, after candle lighting, everyone should go on their balconies and sing L’Had do de. That would have made another only
in Israel moment for me. At 5:30we are all to be on our balconies ready to sing. It was rainy and cold and no one else came out. Bummer. Today was prepare for Shabbat day. Lots of cooking, even though it is 3 of us. There is still several meals tomorrow ,
three I think,plus tonights. By the time noshes are over at the beginning of the meal, I am full. We had pickles,olives, cabbage slaw, hummus,gefilte fish and something like the base for shusuka.That with Challah would have been enough. You don’t fill
your salad plate. A spoonful of each is enough. Then wonderful chicken soup with my favorite boiled chicken. Then came the melt in the pot, roast beef, string beans and potato kugel. Followed by dessert , tea and bed. Oh yes, wine. To
think that I get to do this again tomorrow is over kill.We discussed the Torah portion. One line that stumped us about a particular head covering. Couldn’t find any meaning in Hebrew or English translation.
It will have to wait until after Shabbat so maybe Dr. Google can give us his interpretation.
