I did my long walk today. 5 miles. I feel as if I ran a Marathon.I was fine untilI I sat down. I wish that I had had time for a nap . This is my last long walk, then I start tapering. I had the contractors coming for their
last day on the job, but I knew that if I didn’t do the walk, I would put it off, and put it off. So I did it. The trouble with walking here in Bird Bay is that I meet a lot of people who I know through
my walking a dog. That means I stop and talk and explain about Teddy and his issues. The more I talk about him, the more I realize that I made the right decision to take him back.I filled out an application and listed 5 possible candidates for my next pet.
The application has been in my mailbox for 3 days. First it was Sunday, then it was President’s day and today, the third day.. a construction truck was parked too close to the mailbox and the mailman didn’t leave our mail. Probably the guys I was
interested in will have been adopted and I will have to do the search all over again. I am looking to adopt a dog who is being fostered, at a foster home, rather than a kennel type rescue. The dogs are
integrated into a family home and adopted out that way. They are not in cages with a dozen other dogs who are waiting for adoption. I think I will have a better chance of getting a history on my next pet.
My contractor found a blue tennis ball here in the house. I have no idea where it came from, so my new pup already has his first toy.
