Our assignment for my writers group was to come up with something written about Transportation. Our group came ip with poetry, personal remembrances about flying, driving and taking a train. Here was my contribution.
TRANSPORTATION
My favorite form of transportation is with my feet. My two feet have supported me my whole life. I understand that I was an early walker. I like
that because that has given me more time to appreciate my feet.. My feet have taken me to places that I never dreamt I would walk. I abused them, but they are forgiving. I’ve used them to walk sunlit beaches, crowded city sidewalks, rutted country roads,
steep mountain switch back roads,unfamiliar foreign country streets,raucous Mardi Gras parades,in rain,blistering sunshine, slippery ice-y sidewalks and through snow drifts.They have helped
me push carriages, strollers ,shopping carts , suitcases and wheel chairs. They have always transported me from here to there. My two feet have run Marathons and walked a few of them. They might be slow, but they always get me to the finish line. It’s
true that I’ve sometimes asked for almost more than they wanted to give me. I’ve exercised them,X rayed them, splinted them,fractured them, put them in orthotics,soaked them and stayed off of
them.
My feet have let me climb ladders, stand up for worship,stand for the National Anthem at Cubs games, and stand with like minded people at rally’s. I have to give
my feet a lot of credit. They stayed with me all of this time. My doctor says that I have great feet. I think that she says that to all feet, but I have to agree with her.

always propel me forward, from one adventure to the next. Thanks for Sticking with me when all you have wanted was to put yourself on a coffee table and take a load off.
