Today was a special day because we celebrated the life of a JCV member who passed away a year ago.I was honored to be asked to speak about my memory of her. There were some things that I recalled but did not fit into what
I was going to say. What I left out was a very special member of our congregation who was a true friend of the person we were honoring. This special person would visit her in the hospital by saying she
was her sister. And in a way she was. This person also when our friend was too weak to get out of bed, would climb into bed with her. The three of us went to Israel together , so we all had a special bond, but
this mutual friend was special for our friend. Our Cantor lead the service and read some heartfelt letters written about our friend. It was truly a celebration of her life and she left us with a memory of a super giving person.
