Day two . Painted another wall. The walls are plaster. Not plaster board. When this development was built, maybe 40 plus years ago, someone chose to plaster the walls in
an old world way. They are not smooth. It’s as if the plasterer took his trowel and made swirls and waves in the plaster. So painting is not straight forward. There
are little crevices and swirls to paint. Now that I have cleaned and put the brushes and roller away, I see a spot that I missed. bummer. Tomorrow when I do wall three, I will get to the spot that I missed.
Teddy sat against the wall while I was painting. It was to be expected. He was confused. I kept going up and down the step stool. I don’t have a ladder, but the step stool works just fine. When the
contractor comes to lay the floor, he will also replace the simple molding with crown molding. That’s when I’ll paint the wood work.I always did want crown molding. It’ll add such class to this place.
