Teddy attended two meetings today. Both times, I gave the rest of the committee members the option of my leaving if they were offended in anyway. They weren’t and Teddy was very well behaved. Some people didn’t
know that he was there. That is a good thing because it was /ring him or my not go t9 the meetings. Now to concentrate on his anxiety. And his house training. 8 realized that he doesn’t tell me when he needs to go out. I have been reasonably lucky in
that I walk him a lot. I am waiting for a delivery from Amazon of bells that you put on the door knob. My job is to train him to jingle the bells when he has to go out. Sounds easy enough and since he is pretty smart, we should be headed in the right direction. The anxiety is the biggie. So far, I can go to the garbage can and back before he panics. This anxiety thing is very real . I don’t believe in putting him in a crate and letting him cry it out. I can’t
see where that would help him feel secure about my returning. We’ll work it out, but I c an tell that it will be a challenge for both of us.
