ON THE BACK BURNER

I am back to moving stones. My son came home with a truck load of pavers. He hadn’t realized how happy that would make me. I spent two mornings placing them in my walk way. It’s like a puzzle. They have to fit right and look right. Some gals want their rocks to be diamonds, but it seems that I am happy when my rocks are really rocks. We had a family tree planting ceremony in honor of Bob. Last fall, before I left, we selected an apple tree at the nursery. It has been resting dormant in my daughter in laws garden, waiting until we had a majority of family here to plant it. The two grandsons that were here dug the hole along with my son and daughter in law. After planting the tree, we each had our own thoughts that we didn’t share, we then sprinkled water around the tree from the Kiddish cup that my son got at his Bar Mitzvah. The tree will grow full and strong.
