I am a believer in “ intentions”. That is when you set yourself up for either failure or success. My favorite example is when you come to a curb and you start thinking, “ hope I don’t trip on this
curb”, and you do.You set yourself up because even before you got to the curb, you put the thought in your head that you would trip. And you did. It is a negative thought process that puts you in a position to trip. Then you say to yourself,” see,
I knew that I would trip”. I like to think that when I see a curb, I’ll think “step carefully. “ I do and I don’t trip. I wish I had this theory when we had our multi floor
house and I would trip going upstairs carrying a cup of coffee. I always thought about miss stepping when I was rushing upstairs. I never tripped going down. Maybe because my cup was empty and I just walked down the stairs, not making a prediction. I’ve tried this theory with winning the lottery, but so far, my intentions of winning, haven’t
materialized. I plan to keep working on this theory , and actually , every now and then, buy a lottery ticket. I will win. At least that is my intention.
