Today in the NYT there was an article that we retirees shouldn’t forget our bucket list. I keep adding to mine. Who knew that I wanted to go to Denali. It turned out to be a wonderful journey . Or that I would buy a
trailer and ground it in Washington state, or drive cross country.I love my bucket list. I’ve added two more things to the list. I applied to be a volunteer at an Israeli defense camp. I’ll do any assignment. Just bring it on. Then I will walk
a 10 K with my daughter who lives in Jerusalem at the Jerusalem Marathon. I’ll be there, so why not. And I think I get a “T” shirt. I run for T shirts. I hope I get a medal. That would be so cool. I also hope that I can do those hills. I
am always on the look out for more things to add to my bucket list.I am living longer than we planned when we sat down years ago with our financial adviser. I may live longer than my financial resources. But
as long as I am alive, and with a little caution, I’m going for the theory of “do it”. Anyone want to join me?
