What a joyous Shabbat service. One of our favorite members celebrated being alive for 99 years. Although his body is frail, his mind is not. Since I plan on living to be 100, I need to take lessons from this man. He knows
his Hebrew. He sings to his own rhythm . He starts before everyone and races to the finish line.I think that he has a bit of flirtation left. He always receives the kisses of the women congregants ,graciously.
He is respected by his children . They are proud of him . He is funny. He still drives. At night. He is a handsome man.Tonight , he was surrounded by his family and friends. I was one of them. Happy birthday to a pillar of
our Jewish community. I’m going to keep my eyes on him to learn what I have to do to make it to that 100 year landmark. He makes it look easy.
