ON THE BACK BURNER

I returned a case of Noodle’s expensive dog food to the place where I bought it and got a $56  refund. I forgot how expensive it was. Then I returned some prescription meds that I had to his Vet. They were still sealed , so I was able to do that. I got a credit that I will use there when I get another rescue dog. While I was there  at the Vet’s , the receptionist said that they had been contacted by a rescue  agency that I applied to for another rescue pet. She said that she gave me a glowing recommendation.  I didn’t realized that I was being accepted  so quickly. That was a surprise. When I got home, I got an email saying that the agency was looking for some member in my area to come and make a home visit. It is as serious as adopting a child, but I am ready for the visit. I applied to adopt an adult dog and a toy poodle became available. Sometimes it takes awhile to get a small dog. They are very much in demand. I  know that this  is very quick after Noodle’s death, but I find myself very ungrounded without something living around me. I don’t think waiting will work for me. I planned to get a dog at some point, so since one seems to be available now, I decided that I would see if it is the right dog for me. I wonder if he likes to travel.
