My thoughts are turning to Thanksgiving, one of my favorite holidays. It’s not the turkey, it’s the turkey skin that I love. I also love the bread dressing. It is exactly the same one my Mother made, But I don’t put it into the turkey. I remember trying to pull every last bit of the stuffing out from that cavity. For a wedding present , we received a stuffing spoon. A long handled silver spoon, meant to
be thrust into that poor turkeys cavity. I was never good at gravies, but a daughter has a fail proof recipe made with nutritional yeast. Veggie or vegans can rejoice and it is really good. I happen to like nutritional yeast. I lavish it on my popcorn along
with salt. Then I wet my finger and get the last of it up from the bottom of the bowl.Thanksgiving can stop with crispy turkey skin, nutritional yeast gravy and cranberries. After that, I think a nap is appropriate. It’s traditional !
