After every Shabbat sermon or remarks any of our Rabbi's have made, I try to find something I can relate it to.This week, it popped up at me in a book that I am slowly plowing through. It is"Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose. It is about Lewis
and Clark and Thomas Jefferson. Seems that the Federalist were quite worried about" the general ascending of the worthless, the dishonest, the rapacious, the vile, the merciless and the ungodly". This was 1801. I don't know why I thought that I
could relate that to current politics! Then there was more that brought it even closer to me...The Federalist , just before Jefferson's inauguration, stuffed the Federal courts with their own judges. So , I guess Ecclesiastic still has a message for us,
there is nothing new under the sun and we may all be doomed. I hope not.
