My niece is here so Noodle has company while I pet sit. Right now, I am poaching chicken breasts, with kale , broccoli and celery for the little guys. I need to get some organic carrots tomorrow to add to the mix. These dogs eat very well
and it must work because they look healthy. Now Noodle on the other hand is being feed very expensive canned food. It looks like Grandma cooked it. When I opened the first can, I thought that there was a mistake. That it was canned boned chicken in broth.
That is what it looks like. I tasted it.. rather bland, not really Grandma's chicken soup... but Noodle thinks it is wonderful. I could go to McDonald's for a fish fillet, fries and a coke for what this can of food costs. But it seems to be doing what I hoped
it would , low protein, good enough to keep his interest and available. Maybe in a few months , he can transition to a less expensive food. Our first dog ate a can of 12 cent dog food. Period. Take it or leave it and Wally never left it. He never had stomach
issues. He also ate the kids pb/J sandwiches.. right out of their hand,on the way to their mouth. He would kill for food. He ate a roast that was sitting on the counter. We would find him by running the electric can opener. He would think that we were opening
his food and come running. I have more Wally stories than stories that I have for all of the other dogs that we had. From police to insurance claims. He is remembered as the late great Wally. I think that his progeny can still be found around Evanston.
