ON THE BACK BURNER

I don't want to put Noodle down,  but I don't think that he has a lot going for him. I'm not saying that he doesn't have a personality, but he's not very exciting. He sleeps 22 1/2  hours a day. I get no response when I return from any place. There  is no dog at the door waiting for me. I have to go and look for him. Now that we are back home, he hasn't quite found his special place again. His crate doesn't call to him. His three beds spread around the house for his comfort are not calling out to him, either. I found him asleep in the closet this morning. That is stressful for me, because I had looked every where else for him, including the shower. In his defense, when a stranger comes up to him and I explain that they have to put their hand right in front of his nose, and they do, his fluffy tail wags ,  vigorously. He does the same for dogs that he walks into when we are out and about. Dogs seem very tolerant of his walking into them. He is the sweetest dog and I know he looks to me as his alpha. Occasionally, he will give me a kiss. Sometimes he will just come up to my leg and put his wet nose on it. I think he likes me. He really likes me.
