Today I talked to a daughter in Jerusalem, another one in Colorado, and the day before, I talked with a daughter in New York. How different from when I was growing up and long distance was a time that you told someone bad news, and you only did
it on Sunday after 5 o'clock. At least that was how it was in New Orleans. When I was at Camp Denali, there was no internet or cell reception. When I had dinner in the main lodge, the only thing that people were interested about in me was was it really true
that there was no internet or cell reception. They wrongly thought that because my Grandson was an employee, he and by default me, had privileges that they didn't .. the internet. They were OK with outhouses, but sure would have liked to have their computers.
I am tied to my iPad. I use it for everything. No more yellow pages. I go to google. I really don't have to buy cookbooks anymore because every recipe is on the internet .(. I just like reading cookbooks. ) I can't tell you the number of times my kids catch
me with their fact finding... while I am talking to them. That is embarrassing. I'm not always right. I hate that.
