My daughter in law and a neighbor decided to have a block party. They knew some of the neighbors between them, but there were a lot more that they didn't know. So they planned an afternoon event and included neighbors from more than their
block. Especially since our block has two houses on it. The ladies didn't know if anyone would show up. They put out a few games for any kids, chairs, tables for any treats anyone might bring, name tags for name and address,and some canopies for sun blocking.
As it turned out ,it was a cloudy , cool day. Perfect for meeting your neighbor. Surprise.. people came and talked. There were a few dogs in the mix. Noodle made a brief appearance because his only friend, Alfy was there. Everyone was so happy with the happening
that I heard there was talk of doing it again next year.
