ON THE BACK BURNER

I waited too long, but I  finally did it.  I got fitted for a hearing aid. I was  getting  tired of saying" what" or " sorry, would you say that again". The final straw was when a friend of my son said that he was coming over  to borrow a lathe and I heard" to borrow a lay". What? My kids were finding me amusing. I had to drive to Sequim to get fitted. That is pronounced S'quim, not se..quim. As long as I was getting a hearing aid, I wanted one that you couldn't see. Especially since I just got my hair cut, short. I found out that my ear canal is really small and it wouldn't accommodate an internal aid. Dang. Then I had to get the color taupe. Is that even a color. I thought that these would be more inexpensive because they were so visible, but no. For some reason, that isn't the case. Double dang.Sorry, how much was that again?
