ON THE BACK BURNER

I had a special day, today. I was invited with my daughter in law and three women, one who was a docent there, to visit the  Bloedel  gardens . This is a special place , a botanic garden extraordinaire. And I learned  that they have a reciprocal arrangement with the Selby Botanic Garden in Sarasota, so I just showed my membership card and I didn't have to pay admission. .  With our personal very own docent ,we spent hours walking through spectacular gardens. These gardens were a gift to the community from the Bloedel family. The family has been very generous in gifting to the Seattle Art Museum  , the university and other areas of the arts.  And  I enjoyed their gift !  And since I love gift shops , no visit would be complete without just checking it out. And this one was just right.

Not too much to tempt me . I did buy a book on how to sketch flowers and trees and I decided to repaint my chair, now that I have a book to guide me. This time, I hope I get the chair to look like that vision I had in my mind. It should remind me of my  special day .
