ON THE BACK BURNER

A project a day works for me. Today was what I expect from the North west. Grey, off and on gentle rain, not cold. The pebble glass  , that  I kept calling lucite, is really plexiglass. I was just educated on that one. The plexiglass is in the door and it looks great. I have more light and I can view the clouds, the sky and beautiful trees. That was a good move on my part to exchange the pebble for clear. Then I went back to You Tube and looked at video's again about removing RV borders. This time I came away with using a hair dryer. My son uses one in his work shop, so I borrowed it. It really works. i removed more border in a few minutes then I did on an hour of working with Downey and a plastic scrapper. I have included a photo of the cleared wall and my new work table. My son trimmed the bed board to fit the mattress. I think that the previous owner had a King mattress and exchanged it for a double. That left about 6 inches of board on each side of the bed around a smaller mattress. I kept walking into the bare board. This mattress is better than the one I have at home. it has a pillow top and I haven't woken up stiff since I got here. I am in the process of putting black board paint on pieces of beaver board( it is called something else now, but I can't think what. ) This will go into two of  the upper cabinet to replace the gaudy glass that was in it. I can write messages to myself , or use the colored chalk that my daughter in law gave me, to doddle. Did I mention that my son and I had time for a sushi lunch. I left a few things to do tomorrow.
