ON THE BACK BURNER

I got up earlier than usual and unpacked and repacked. This time , I took out my winter jacket. I have been following the weather in the plain states and they don't realize that it is spring, almost summer. My car registered 91 today. I know that it is summer. I hear my AC. The temp in those western states was in the 30 and 40's. That is coat , hat, socks, gloves and maybe a scarf weather for me. With my flip flops. In the bag that I am going to keep handy to take into motels ,my hat and gloves are right on top. I might transfer to a pair of shoes that cover my toes and heels. Maybe. I bought Noodle a thermal rain coat. On it I wrote Blind on one side and on the other, I wrote Deaf. I figured that if some dogs can get away with being " support dogs", a sign that he is the one handicapped should at least get him a doggie treat. I also ordered his special frozen raw food from a pet store in Port Townsend. He is ready, except he doesn't know that he is going yet. Our other dogs use to climb in  our suitcase when we took it out. They usually traveled with us and they knew that a good time was ahead. We have had all kinds of adventures traveling with dogs. One jumped out of the car before we had the leash on and ran across the road. We called out" cookie" and he hurried back. Another , we let run in a corn field for exercise. How did we know that he was allergic to corn pollen. That was an over night stay in Nebraska. Omaha has a lot of feed lots. In case you need to know. One got loose from our  cabin in Colorado. Thank goodness our son in law gave chase. There are all kinds of predators for small fluffy dogs. I hope Noodle enjoys his adventure. I am not very optimistic.
