ON THE BACK BURNER

I have a mound of clothes on my bed because  I am deciding what to take for a three month sojourn. I need clothes for seven days on the road, clothes designated for my week in Alaska, clothes suitable for decorating a trailer and clothes ,in case someone asks me , to dinner. After this, I will have absolutely no clutter because I am down to bare bones in the clothing department.I did find that I have two pair of the exact same pants. Really, I have four pair of the exact same pants and two are black. That is weird. Now people will think that I wear the same pants every day. If they notice at all. While I was doing all of this sorting, I thought about bringing a blanket with me. I know that I will need one, because last August when I was visiting there, it was dang cold at night . I just realized  that  I have not used a blanket all this season. It is still under the bed in its storage container. So, I guess I wont miss it if I take it and leave it in Washington. That was an easy decision.  This afternoon I went to AAA to have them plot my drive from Boulder, CO. where I pick up another Grandson , to Oak Creek, CO, where we pick up a daughter and then drive to Port Townsend , WA. ,to meet another Grandson and maybe another grandson for a total of four Grandsons, and be with my son. Because it is such a small world, a lady in the next chair perked up when I said Port Townsend because that is where she is from. How often can that happen? Sitting in a AAA office , in  Venice, and the person next to you is from the town , almost 3000 miles away , that you will be visiting.  We had a really nice chat . I am so glad that I talk to strangers.
