I didn't get to visit Bob today as I usually do on a Sunday.I have too many dogs and cats on my plate , so I will have to visit the cemetery during the week. It's good to know that he is in a safe place that is well taken care of ,so I really
have nothing special to do when I do visit.I remember going to my Grandparents graves in New Orleans. Even though we had what is called perpetual care, the graves were unkept , and my parents had to pull weeds and do some trimming. I am not sure what happened
to this Jewish cemetery after Katrina. I think that it was in the path of the surging water. i really like cemeteries. In some small towns, where you wouldn't expect to find any Jews, there is usually a section, some where in the back , that has the
few Jews from the town buried. I like to read tomb stones. For a while, and maybe some people still do this, it was popular to do rubbings of engravings on the stones. I could never understand what you would do with the rubbings afterwards , unless they were
family members. Different strokes for different folks.
