Who among us can make the number of cookies baked with the number of cookies that the recipe said it would make. After all of the years of cooking and baking, I never get the yield that the recipe says I should. I didn't think that I eat that
much of the raw dough to make a difference. Today, I made muffins. Yield 12. That was easy because I could take a little from a overly large looking premuffin and put it in a smaller looking muffin . But cookies. I never get more , but always less .I even
bought scoops so that all would be exactly the same. That makes them even , but I still am on the negative side.I have been watching the British Baking show and I know that Paul and Pru or Paul and Mary would catch me on the first round. When I took out this
batch of muffins, that I just made, I was very critical of them. Were they baked through, could they go back in the oven for a few minutes, did the dried fruit sink to the bottom or were they distributed evenly. No. no. yes and no. But they sure tasted good.
So there Paul, Pru and Mary.
