I am just learning so much by watching The Great British Baking Show. Like the word, lamination. I thought that was something you did to an art project. In baking it is the swirl that you see in a jelly roll or the layers that you
see in puff pastry. I never knew that. I don't always understand the British accent and I think that some of the contestants don't either. They were asked to make Pita . Most of the contestants said they had never heard of it. I didn't either, the way they
pronounced it. Then , it seems to rain often and hard where ever they were shooting the series. Must be hard to bake under those humid conditions. One thing that is very noticeable to me is the ethnic make up of the contestants. There are women with
head coverings, men with turbans, oh so English Tudor type of men and women. The true English ones have fair skin and seem to blush easily. Some of them look down right blotchy. I did get carried away today, bought some puff pastry, like who would make it when
you can buy it, and made something similar to what I think I saw them making. It was laminated. Pretty good , too. I shared a little with Noodle. He thought it was pretty good, wanted more.
