There is a TV program called" Windy City Rehab". The episode tonight looks just like our first apartment in Chicago's north side. We had 3 bedrooms, a sun palor and access to a huge green grass yard. The dining room had a beautiful
built in hutch. Our rent was about $135 a month. The building that is being featured on the program is in the same general area that we lived in. It is being remodeled to sell for over one million dollars. That boggles my mind. We had interesting
neighbors in the three flat six unit building. An artist who taught at the Art Institute, a recluse, who owned the whole building, her brother who lived across from us . I dont remember interacting with any of the other two neighbors. We had kid two
and three in that apartment. After moving to Evanston and then after years there, moving back to the city ,to a high rise.. we were just around the corner from our original first apartment. I guess what goes around , comes around.
