Some days are just funnier than others. It was 10:45 am and I was walking across the Lowe's parking lot to get to my car. The sun was shinning in my eyes and a bicycle was coming toward me , so I stopped. I've been run into by a bike before and
it isn't all that much fun. The guy on the bike stopped and asked me how far to Tampa. I asked Tampa street or Tampa,fL. He said Tampa ,Florida. I told him the milage . Then he said and I quote," beer here is $1.36 and I need 5 cents more, can you give
it to me? " I said that I carry no cash and walked away. But I had to laugh. Did he think that I would give him money for a beer ? Before 11. Then what an easy mark I must look to think I could be so vulnerable. Anyway, it made me smile all the way home.Which
was good because Lowe's didn't have what I wanted and the trip was a waste of time. There is more to the story.. When I told my daughter the story, she said that if I had reached for my wallet to give him money, he would have snatched my wallet and taken off.
I guess I did look vulnerable to him.
