ON THE BACK BURNER

Here is how I often write my daily blog. Before I put down a word, I think about what I want to say. So before I actually write anything, most of what I have to say is already formed in my head. Then, it just spills out. I try to check my spelling. That doesn't always work in my best interest. And, I love, commas, a lot. I find them like a breath that you take when you are talking. I do not, to the best of my memory, , except for Bob and Noodle, use names. I might say my son or a daughter, but no first names. I do not want to invade anyones privacy. Their name is their identity and is private . I do say good by to special people and use their name. That is my way of Honoring them and letting the family know how special they were. When I write my articles for the Gondolier, it takes me a few days to think of what I want to say. Once I decide what the article will be about, I churn it over in my head. I want someone who is not Jewish to get a better idea of  my holidays or life cycle . I go to Google to get back ground. I check the Reform ,the Orthodox and the Conservative views, and what I experienced by being Jewish. Then , still in my head, I plan how I want to present it. I want it to be factual, but not overwhelming. Then ,I take pen and my paper notebook and I write what I am thinking.  From there I go to my note pad on my iPad and let it all out, not stopping. I double check how it reads. Especially the spelling. I read it out loud to myself. Read it one more time and press the send tab to the editor. I take my daily Blog and the article that I write seriously. I don't want to offend anyone or write  anything that isn't  so. I want to be me , sharing experiences, hoping that who ever reads me will share a similar experience or thought. It's all about sharing . Any way that is how I do it.
